Introduction

Hi everyone, my name is Dawna. I applied for this challenge thinking that there was no way that I would be chosen. What a big surprise! Wow, I never would have thought, but now that I am here, I am very excited to get going. I have never done this before, and I have a lot to learn. I am a lunch lady at the local high school, and I enjoy working with the kids. I am a mom to one a 17 year old boy. I have been married for 22 years.
I chose to apply for this challenge due to the fact that I have been heavy all my life and nothing else that I have tried has worked well. I have tried all kinds of diets, and I even once went as far as starting the process to get a gastric bypass. After all the paperwork and testing were done, all I found out was that I have sleep apnea and diabetes. And then the insurance I had, denied the surgery. After several appeals, and dealing with a lawyer, I still didn't win. I was devastated. It took me a long time to come to grips with all that I had to deal with, after all the tests came back. But I made it through, and I am grateful for all the challenges that I have had. I am up for a new one. So here is to the last one I will have to do. When I tried for this challenge, I really thought that I would not have much of a chance. I have been 'lurking' around the HCG chatroom in yahoo for a few months and making changes to my lifestyle as I learned from everyone there. So far without starting this challenge, I have already lost 35 lbs just from the small changes I have made. I look forward to the new me in the coming months.

Hello everyone, just checking in. I spent the day looking into colon cleanses. Sounds awful I know, but it was something I planned to do before I started this journey.
I have enjoyed reading up on everyone who has posted so far, and it looks like we are a great group! Still excited as ever. I found that I missed a bit of info, I am 42 and I have about 120 lbs I want to lose. I dont ever recall being thin so it will be a whole new experience for me. Anyway, I had better run......time to get some sleep.

Hi Dawna,

You're not alone, my friend! Before losing 32# by doing one round of this protocol, I was over 100 lbs overweight, and was considering gastric bypass, as well. Thank goodness for Kevin Trudeau's book! I'm so excited for you, and for me too! Won't it be fun to share our "after" pics when it's all done?

Best of luck!
